Game Nights

We’ve found it’s easiest to text individually, text as a group, and then email (in that order).

Board games, card games, video games – you don’t need a lot of options but a few options to choose from is good so you can switch it up! Also, make sure your games can accommodate everyone attending – no one wants to wait to play.

If I’m talking to a couple, how they met is always a natural place to start! At game nights we usually ask questions about their favorite/least favorite games which can lead to great conversation!

Game nights are great because it’s nice to be able to connect in a relaxed, casual environment. We usually ask people to bring any drinks or snacks they like, so we have a variety and everyone has contributed. We intentionally check in with everyone throughout the night to make sure everyone is having a good time, and switch up games if we need to. Game nights are perfect to get to know people. Relationships are strengthened by shared experiences and laughter is one of the best shared experiences!
